Ada

A name from its past. A new life at the table.
Ada takes its name from Ada Van Sant Stoddard, connecting the planned restaurant to the people behind the historic Stoddard-Harmon House. Built around 1910, the Mission Revival home belonged to Phoenix financier and developer Celora Stoddard, whom Ada married that same year. Ada was also a painter who studied portraiture in Rome and later helped establish the Nevada Artists Association. There is a creative life behind the name, as well as a history behind the walls.
At Arcada, adaptive reuse gives that history a place in the neighborhood’s daily life again. The restaurant’s planned coastal American menu brings seasonal ingredients and seafood to dining spaces that extend from the house into the gardens. An old Phoenix address becomes a place to meet for dinner, settle into a conversation and make a little history of your own.
