Meet Jason Merck, an avid commercial real estate developer with laser focus on downtown Phoenix. While his projects extend beyond the Phoenix boundaries, Jason’s primary playground is the heart of the vibrant desert city. With an impressive $200M in commercial real estate developments, he seamlessly transitions between roles as an investor, developer, and often combines the two for maximum impact.

Before Jason made his mark in real estate, he dedicated over two decades developing software for the healthcare industry. Most notably In March 2015, Jason founded Cloudmed, an innovative healthcare technology enterprise. Jason went on to sell Cloudmed to New Mountain Capital in June 2018 for $110 million, with a 3 year earn-out. As part of a roll-up strategy New Mountain Capital acquired 13 healthcare companies under the Cloudmed brand. The climax of this journey unfolded in June 2022 when Cloudmed sold to R1, a publicly traded revenue cycle management company, for an astonishing $4.1 billion.

Prior to Cloudmed, he embarked on an entrepreneurial venture as the first employee of MethodCare, a technology startup focused on the healthcare revenue cycle sector. Jason played an integral role in the growth and eventual sale of the company, which netted an impressive $75 million in October 2014. His journey in healthcare began as a SQL Server developer at Stockamp & Associates, a healthcare revenue cycle consulting company. The company’s subsequent transformation into Huron Consulting in 2008.
